This brings up some interesting discussion.  What is going to happen to digital pictures 40 years from now? Are we going to have to continually update our format and storage methods as time goes on?  Will JPEG be around in 40 years? I bet they will have software which reads the “old” format still.  How many pictures will survive hard drive failures, Operating system upgrades, and advances in computers?  Even if you burn pictures to CD or DVD they probably won’t last 40 years.  You have to buy special high dollar archival quality disc media in order to store things long term.

Some people say the answer is to put them “in the cloud” with services such as Google, Flickr, etc.  Who says they will be around when you want to show the grandkids pictures of your trip in 2010?

Is the solution to take your thumb drive to CVS/WAL-MART/etc. and have them printed out?  I say yes.

This is a great tool for those of you using Ubiquity equipment.  It won’t pull in GIS data like Radio Mobile but has all their antenna patterns and such built in.  Great for determing what data rates you can expect, and other factors.
